Since 2010, the artisan spirit of Grottaglie in a Glass

The desire to offer new life to dormant roots of local tradition and culture. The desire to give new life to land where the Dionysiac fruits have always been conceived.

This is how, in 2010, AZIENDA AGRICOLA COSIMO VESTITA was born, founded by the then 36-year-old artisan namesake. In fact, Cosimo Vestita was born as a ceramist, choosing to dedicate his life to the figuline art, which identifies Grottaglie: the “City of Pottery.” Along with that art, which has identified the Vestita family for five generations since the 18th century, came a love for viticulture.

Production tends increasingly to differentiate itself. The 2017 vintage is the source of a Primitivo that for the first time is also vinified in rosé. It meets with unimaginable approval the new product of Azienda Agricola Cosimo Vestita. IGP Salento Primitivo Rosato 2017 Nero di Sole, at the 46.mo Concorso Enologico Nazionale – Douja D’Or receives the Oscar della Douja D’Or 2018. A prestigious recognition that only 36 wines can boast of among the nearly one thousand presented at Asti.

Nero di Sole Salento IGP, with its nuances of blackberries and currants on the nose and its smooth taste, makes an ideal wine to brighten any Mediterranean and seafood dish. Exceptional in winter, delightful in summer as well.
